National Strategy to Achieve Gender Equality
On 28 March 2023 at Parliament House in
Canberra a roundtable on gender
equality, in partnership with the National
Electrical and Communications Association
(NECA) was organised with Build Like A Girl Founder - Jo Farrell in attendance.
The event brought together members of
parliament, academics, industry groups
and business leaders from across Australia
to discuss broadening opportunities,
developing pathways, removing barriers and
increasing the appeal for women to work in
non-traditional trades and STEM vocations

SOLD!!! The Charity Home that Hearts Built
It may set a world record for longest ever Canberra house auction, but after a tense hour and a half long wrangle, the Strathnairn Charity House has been successfully auctioned for $1.596 million.
The four-bedroom house was designed, predominantly built, marketed and auctioned by women and proceeds will go to Hands Across Canberra, Karinya House, Pegasus Riding for the Disabled and Canberra City Care at Charnwood.
